Thália × Myra Molloy — Cero Magazine Feature

She Wore Thália
There are shoes that simply complete a look. And then there are shoes chosen because they say something — about who a woman is, what she stands for, and the world she is helping to build. When the credits rolled on Myra Molloy's editorial shoot for Cero Magazine, one line read: SHOES by Thália.
It felt like the right fit in more ways than one.

A Woman Worth Watching
Myra Molloy is not easy to summarise. Thai-American actress and musician. Former winner of Thailand's Got Talent. The first Thai performer to lead a Broadway production, stepping into the role of Eurydice in the Tony Award-winning Hadestown. And now, Sonya in Girls Like Girls — the feature film written and directed by Hayley Kiyoko, adapted from Kiyoko's best-selling YA novel and her career-defining song of the same name.

Speaking to Cero Magazine alongside her co-star Maya da Costa, Myra reflected on the weight of being part of this project. "Being a part of the Girls Like Girls universe is insane," she told the publication. "All I can feel is immense gratitude and relief that she can finally put this out in the world." Of director Hayley Kiyoko, she added: "Her perseverance is inspiring — knowing she never gave up on her community or this story."

These are not the words of someone who takes her platform lightly. They are the words of a woman who understands that the stories we tell — and the choices we make — carry meaning. It is the kind of consciousness that Thália was built around.

The Shoe: Kelly Block Heel Mules in Cherry Burgundy
The Kelly Block Heel Mule is one of Thália's most considered designs. A 50mm block heel gives it both height and stability — the kind of heel that does not ask you to sacrifice an afternoon for a photograph. The silhouette is clean and assured, drawing on the brand's Greek-inspired design language: architectural without being severe, feminine without being decorative.
For the Cero Magazine shoot, the Kelly was dressed in Cherry Burgundy.
It is a colourway chosen with intention. Cherry burgundy sits at the intersection of richness and warmth — it carries the depth of a classic dark red but with an underlying softness that makes it feel alive rather than austere. On camera, it reads with the same quiet intensity that characterises Girls Like Girls itself: a story about longing, identity, and the relief of finally being seen. A colour that holds something back while revealing everything.
Like all Thália footwear, the Kelly Block Heel Mule is handmade in small batches — each pair a deliberate act of craft rather than a unit of production. The materials are fully vegan and PETA-approved, part of Thalia's founding commitment to conscious luxury: the belief that beauty and ethics are not opposites, but the same thing expressed in different ways. The brand has been featured in Vogue and recognised in the PETA Shopping Guide, credentials worn with the same understated confidence as the shoes themselves.
The Kelly Block Heel Mule in Cherry Burgundy is available now at 1,300 AED with free worldwide shipping.
On Wearing Something That Means Something
Thália has always believed that the women who wear our shoes are not looking for a logo. They are looking for something that reflects their values back to them — that says, without announcing it, that beauty does not require compromise.
Myra Molloy is that kind of woman. And this is that kind of shoe
